Dieses Mal beschäftigen wir uns mit den besten Icon-Sets des Jahres 2013. Knapp 100 dieser nützlichen Sammlungen wollen von dir erforscht werden.

Icons – schon immer populär, aber seit dem Siegeszug der Mobilgeräte noch x-mal populärer. Es ist doch klar. Je kleiner der Bildschirm und die damit zur Verfügung stehende Anzeigefläche, desto stärker muss man sich als Entwickler auf Piktogramme verlassen, die die damit auszulösende Funktion möglichst deutlich visualisieren. Nachdem nun aber jeder Icons nutzt, benötigt man schon eine große Vielzahl selbiger, um zu vermeiden, dass das eigene Design wie das des Designers von drei Straßen weiter aussieht.
Hier sind sie also, unsere Icon-Packs. Die Sammlung ist grob in drei Teile strukturiert. Teil #1 befasst sich mit Allerwelts-Icons für viele Zwecke. Teil #2 fokussiert sich auf Strichlinien-Icons im iOS7-Stil und Teil #3 befasst sich mit Social Media-Icons.

Weil es ein Font ist. Vielleicht erweitern wir die Total Recall-Serie noch. Interessiert ja wirklich ganz viele LeserInnen. „Die X besten (Web)Fonts“ könnte ich mir ebenfalls als Thema vorstellen.
Ja, das Thema ist interessant. Ich verwende, wenn es irgendwie geht, nur noch Font-Icons. Die nahezu uneingeschränkten, dynamischen Möglichkeiten bei Skalierbarkeit und Farbgebung sind (für mich) unschlagbar.
